How to Store a File in Laravel Storage Folder

In Laravel, you can store a file in the storage folder using the Storage facade.

Now follow below steps to store a file in Laravel:

Step 1 - Import the Storage facade at the top of your file:

use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Storage;

Step 2 - Use the put method on the Storage façade, supplying both the file's contents and the path where you wish to store it.

Storage::put('path/to/file', $contents);

Replace 'path/to/file' with the path where you want to store the file. If you want to store the file in a subdirectory then include the subdirectory in the path.

$contents is a string that contains the contents of the file you want to store. If you have the file object then you can use the get method to get its contents:

$contents = file_get_contents($file);

Replace $file with the path to the file you want to store.

Step 3 - Optionally, you can specify the disk you want to use to store the file. By default, Laravel uses the local disk. To specify a different disk, pass its name as the second argument to the put method:

Storage::disk('s3')->put('path/to/file', $contents);

This will store the file on an S3 disk instead of the local disk.

Note: Laravel's Storage facade provides a unified way to interact with various storage systems such as local disk, S3, FTP, and more. The methods for storing files may differ depending on the storage system you are using.
